About Our Founder
Chase Street Properties was founded in 1997 by Gonzalo Jouan. Mr. Jouan has worked for the International Services Department at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He recognized that individuals coming from all over the world to Johns Hopkins Hospital needed a company that understood multi-cultural customs, and offered affordable furnished housing. His ability to recognize the "special needs" of all his guests and his attention to details have enabled Chase Street Properties to become a leading provider of short and long term accommodations throughout the Baltimore area.
About Lorraine Jacobs
Lorraine Jacobs began her career in hotel sales 21 years ago, helping corporate travelers with their temporary accommodation needs. Over the years, Lorraine saw the trend for business travelers to rent furnished apartments for their executives. Corporate apartments provide a more economical and more comfortable setting - especially when staying for months on end. Lorraine began her career in the executive apartment industry by working over 10 years in the corporate apartment industry. In each company, Lorraine managed the furnished apartment programs. Staring with one furnished unit and building up to over 80, Lorraine managed the inventory, the furniture rental, the utilities, the housekeeping team, the marketing budget, as well as her expertise in letting the local, national and even international markets know of her accommodations. Lorraine, a Business School graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, has always aspired to partner in a firm that is of the highest standards, where the customer comes first, where team members work hard, and where we provide a quality accommodation to each and every visitor.
